Steven Lewers & Associates is a small firm specializing in the creation of FoldingGuides. Its founder, Steven Lewers, became interested in laminated guides for nature identification while working at Boston-based book publisher, Houghton Mifflin, where he served as Director of the Peterson Field Guide Serie. After leaving Houghton Mifflin, he published his first FoldingGuide to the Shells and Beach Life of Sanibel & Captiva Islands in 1999. Since then, Steven Lewers & Associates has gone on to create 34 other FoldingGuides for shell, bird, fish, and night sky enthusiasts, as well as a line of museum-quality posters and prints.
