Coolaroo Extra Heavy (84 - 90%) UV Protection was the first knitted outdoor fabric produced to protect people against the ever increasing dangers of skin cancer from the sun's harmful UV rays. High tech and tape yarn: Domestic knitted fabric is manufactured from a high tech fibre which is UV stabilised to maintain flexibility and strength while exposed to long periods in the sun. Knitted lock stitch construction: Unique lock stitch construction combines Monofilament and tape to produce a dimensionally stable fabric that will not tear or fray if cut. The fabric keeps you cool: Coolaroo fabric has the ability to breathe..to allow air to pass through the fabric. Unique Heat Set Process: Coolaroo domestic fabric is put through a unique heat set process known as "stentering" which heat sets the fabric to produce a stable and consistent fabric that has minimal shrinkage.
